JOHN AKOJI

BOARD MEMBER

Akoji John is a serial entrepreneur with over two (2) decades of running social impact businesses in Nigeria. He is also an experienced professional with close to two (2) decades working within the private and public sectors in West Africa.

Akoji has worked full time with top organizations like Procter and Gamble, Sun king Solar, Lorel, Bopinc and Sightsavers at different cross functional leadership roles and have consulted for top brands like Gino, Uber etc.

He founded the SOIFoundation in 2013 as a result of his passion to support vulnerable people and communities.  The SOIFoundation was formally registered in June 2020.

He currently serves on the advisory board of the Foundation providing guidance and mentorship to the management team together with other members of the advisory board.

YINKA ADETUBERU

ADVISORY CHAIR

A dynamic Senior Investment Banking Analyst at Meristem Capital Limited. With an MBA in Finance and Investment from Ahmadu Bello University and ongoing studies in Financial Engineering at World Quant University, Yinka is a CFA Level 3 and FMI Advanced Financial Modeling candidate. His expertise spans Capital Raising, Financial Analysis, Strategy Development, and more. Yinka holds a BSc in Physics, and certifications include CMSA®, FMVA®, BIDA®, CBCA®, FPWM™, and Project Finance from BFI Insights.

LOUISA OBUNEZIE

Louisa Obunezie is a dedicated  legal professional with a strong passion for the practice of law. She obtained her Law Degree from the University of Abuja and further honed her legal expertise at the Nigerian Law School, Bwari.
 
Currently, she is a practicing lawyer with Blue Ribbons Attorneys, where she provides strategic legal solutions and advocates for justice and client interests.
 
Her dedication to legal and humanitarian work led her to join SOIFoundation as a volunteer in 2019. Over the years, her commitment and expertise earned her a position as the foundations Executive Director (National Programs Director) and subsequently a Legal Advisory Board Member, where she continues to contribute to the foundation’s mission through legal guidance and strategic counsel.

DR. AMB. MICHAEL EBERECHUKWU OBASI

BOARD MEMBER

Brings 17+ years of diverse experience in sectors such as NGOs, education, consultancy, travel, and renewable energy. Holding a Doctor of Business Administration from the University of Nigeria Nsukka, he’s a seasoned professional with degrees from prestigious institutions like Anglia Ruskin University and the University of Sunderland. Dr. Obasi is an author, businessman, motivational speaker, and ABE UK Ambassador in Nigeria. Recognized for his achievements, he’s a Fellow of FICIMN and received the UN Eminent Ambassador Award 2023. Currently, he serves as the Director of Partnership for Civic Alliance for Climate Protection and Education (CACPE).

Is the Head of Finance of a leading Venture capitalist firm in Africa, she has 10 years of experience in Finance, is a chartered accountant with ACCA and is a dual degree holder in international relations and Accounting, with an MBA from Bingham University.

JOY DAUDA

EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Joy is a multi-dimensional professional with over 6 years’ experience in the hospitality sector. She obtained her First Degree in Computer Science and gained certifications in Customer Service, Project Management (PMP) and Hospitality Management.

Joy joined SOIFoundation as a volunteer in 2019 and was later appointed as Human Resource officer. Her passion towards impact had led to her appointment to lead SOIFoundation in the capacity of an Executive Director with effect from January 2024.

PRINCE EVANSLEY

HEAD of PARTNERSHIP

Prince Evansley is a passionate advocate for rural community development, dedicated to empowering underserved populations through sustainable initiatives. With expertise in project support, logistics, and rural development, he has devoted his career to driving positive change in vulnerable communities. He holds a Bachelor’s degree and has further honed his skills through specialized training in MEAL essentials, procurement and logistics, project management, and humanitarian leadership.

With hands-on experience in community development programming, agriculture, education, and environmental initiatives, Prince actively contributes to sustainable development efforts. As a SOI Foundation member, he is deeply committed to advancing the SDGs and fostering community resilience through impactful programs that create lasting social and economic benefits.

HAFSAT MUSTAPHA

FINANCIAL DIRECTOR

Hafsat Mustapha is a professional Accountant with experience spanning over 6 years. She is a Food and Event Entrepreneur who is passionate about seeing people eat healthy and children’s wellbeing.

Her first Degree is in Accounting and she has obtained an additional ÇNA Certification from the College of Accountancy in Jos. Hafsat has been with the SOIFoundation since 2019 as a volunteer accountant and currently she is part of the management team as Finance Director.

MARY DICKSON

PROGRAMS DIRECTOR

Mary Dickson is Sales and Marketing professional with more than 5 years’ experience and a brief stint in the banking industry. She holds a first degree in Mass Communication, including other professional certifications.

Mary is currently enabling access to renewable solar energy to underserved communities in Northern Nigeria through her engagement with Sun King Solar.

Her passion in life is to put joy on people’s faces, making sure everyone around her is happy. Mary joined SOIFoundation in 2018 as a volunteer and has grown through the ranks to her current role where she is responsible for leading the implications of SOIFoundation strategic focus for 2024 – 2030.

PAUL JINOM

COMMUNICATION DIRECTOR

Paul Jinom, an evolving Sales Executive with over 7 years progressive experience within the renewable energy, FMCG and social impact sectors.

He is also a social entrepreneur with passion in Youth Development. Paul had a first degree in Geography from the prestigious University of Jos. Over the years, he has added to his resume, Certificate in Computer Applications, Youth and Leadership Development, Cyber Security and Project Management.

His ability to grasp and put into application new ideas, concepts, methods, and technologies is intriguing. He joined SOIFoundation as a Media Officer and he has shown himself as a dedicated, innovative, and self motivated team player leading to him being promoted to his current role.

With his wealth of experience and knowledge, Paul has continued to show his commitment and drive towards the mission and vision of SOIFoundation in Africa.

AMINAH IBRAHIM MUSA

HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER

Amina is a Senior HR and Management expert with 15 years demonstrated expertise in improving HR processes and organizational effectiveness through effective talent acquisition and placement and also efficient performance management strategies as well as improving of healthcare systems through advocacy, quality assurance and stakeholder collaboration. Strong track record in facilitating training, managing procurement/supply chain operations.

HOPE OMOKHOSHE AIYEJINA

Research and Impact Officer

A result-oriented performance analyst with experience in leveraging data driven insights to drive strategic decisions. Proficient in analysing data, identifying trends, and developing actionable recommendations.

She obtained a first degree in Biology and a Master of Philosophy in Public Health from the University of Ibadan. Hope has worked in both the public and private sectors.

BENJAMIN AKOR MICHAEL

COUNTRY REPRESENTATIVE, UK
 A dedicated professional with a strong academic background and diverse career  experience. Holds a Master of Science (MSc), from Bradford University UK, a Bachelor of Science (BSc), in Entrepreneurship, and a Higher National Diploma (HND), in Business Management, reflecting his commitment to personal development and growth.  His expertise span across the banking and healthcare sectors, Benjamin has demonstrated versatility and a strong work ethic in his professional endeavors. As a banker, he has honed financial acumen, strategic thinking, and customer service skills, while his role as a healthcare professional reflects his compassion and dedication to improving lives.  Beyond his career, Benjamin is a devoted husband and father, cherishing his family life alongside his professional commitments. He values love, partnership, and the strength of family bonds. Ability to excel in multiple fields while maintaining strong family values highlights his resilience, commitment, and leadership qualities.
Benjamin is currently the Country Representative, UK at SOIFoundation where he provides strategic partnerships support for the foundation.

FATIMA ADAMU IBRAHIM

Program Officer, CPP & BPP

Fatima Adamu Ibrahim has over 10 years combine experience in relationship management and as a marketer within the Banking and communications sectors in Nigeria. She has worked for organisation like Keystone bank and Nigeria Customs Broadcasting Network [NCBN].

 

She obtained her first degree in marketing, from Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Zaria; a Postgraduate Diploma in business Administration from the Nigeria Defence Academy [NDA], and a Master’s in Business Administration from the Kaduna State University, Kaduna. Currently the Program Officer for our Career Preparatory Program (CPP) and Business Preparatory Program (BPP) in Nigeria where she is responsible for coordination and implementation.

 

LYDIA AMAMA

HEALTH AND NUTRITION OFFICER
 Lydia is a health technician (public health) with experience over 5years as a nurse in Global Trust pharmacy, also an entrepreneur who is passionate about the health and wellness of humanity.
   Lydia joined soifoundation as a volunteer in 2013 and was appointed as health and nutrition officer in 2025 due to her impact and concern for humanity.

TRAINING MANAGER UPSKILLING ACADEMY
Jumai is a Training Specialist, Program Designer, Curriculum Developer, and Digital Educationist with over five  years of experience in designing, developing, and delivering engaging and effective learning experiences across diverse platforms. Proven ability to translate complex information into accessible and impactful training materials, leveraging innovative digital tools and methodologies to enhance learning outcomes.  Expertise in needs analysis, instructional design, curriculum development, e-learning development, and performance measurement. She is also Passionate about fostering a culture of continuous learning and development within working environments

CHRISTIANA AMAEFULE IJEOMA

TECHNICAL MANAGER UFEDO

Technical Manager at SOI Foundation, designed and developed innovative digital solutions that drive sustainable impact. Her expertise in UI/UX design enables her to craft user-centered experiences that are intuitive, functional, and impactful.

 Currently leading the design of the UFEDO App, a flagship initiative reducing food waste and improving food access in Nigeria. Her work bridges technology and social innovation, ensuring accessible and effective solutions for diverse communities.

Currently assisting with the development of the UFEDO website and App to reduce food waste and enhance food accessibility in Nigeria. ASSISTANT TRAINING MANAGER UPSKILLING ACADEMY

OLAYEMI OLAYINKA is an experienced and driven Learning & Development professional with a proven track record in designing, implementing, and managing training programs that support both individual and organizational growth. With 3 years of experience in the training sector, I bring a deep understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design, and performance management.  I hold  a BTech in Architecture from Abubakar  Tafawa Balewa University and is currently pursuing an MSc degree. Additionally, I possess professional certificates including Project Management, HSE (OSHA), and Train the Trainer  certificate from iSON Xperiences.
