- Grothon Africa Innovation
Grothon is a joint venture of SOIFoundation in partnership with Trashcycla. The objective is to leverage on the expertise, knowledge, and experience of both organizations to drive the access of impact durable products like solar lamps and solar home systems to underserved communities in Africa. We also engage youths and women as rural sales agents in their communities.
Our impact so far
- Made access to solar lamps available to 20 poor underserved communities in 3 states of Nigeria.
- Employed youths as rural sales agent in their communities.
The Akara Project Venture
The Idea of the TAP venture is a network of women who are dedicated to consistently provide their communities with access to hygienically prepared, healthy, nutritious, and affordable fried bean cake (Akara – Kose) while making a living and transforming their financial, economic, and social status. Through the TAP Venture, we have provided business startup capitals, coaching and training supports to the women.
Our impact so far
- We have supported about 50 women with training and access to finance their Akara enterprise in Nigeria.
UFEDO – No Hunger, Zero waste
UFEDO is a digital innovation with the main aim of reducing the waste of food in Nigeria through the provision of ready market and alternative value proposition for near off the shelf food products in retail stores and warehouses using digital solutions.
It’s a digital food bank for food and other social impact products and it’s a platform for facilitating synergy between food manufacturer, processors, distributors, Restaurants, Orphanages, Prisons, IDP camps, individual consumers, profit and non-profit organizations to mobilize and redistribute food and impact products to increase access, reduce waste and reduce GHG emission in vulnerable communities. ufedo.ng
